Description
Ahsianita, is a super rideable performance horse from mareline 128, with an ultra-modern silhouette and harmonious conformation joins our other imported fillies from Europe. This sensational sport horse impresses us all. She shows very impressive jumping ability with a lightfooted jump showing top technique and scope. She is almost unique regarding the quality of her gaits, rideability, speed and natural ability to collect. Her, 1/2 brother out of the same dam Harnita star, pref prest is competing with his co-owner, Eric Lamaze at WEF this season with good results at 1.50m.
Ahsianita has given us two top-notch foals, Sakura Hill Wyoming, a 2010 colt by Willemoes who promises to be the tall friendly amateur jumper that his owner seeks and Cantanita S, a 2011 filly by Olympic Canturo that is being retained by Sakura Hill Farm LLC. for performance and incorporation in our broodmare band.

Sire Information
Ekstein-Voltaire-Le Mexico 2001 16.3h Bay Anglo-European Warmblood Stallion
“The ultimate modern Sport Horse”
· Closely related to Beijing Olympic Gold Medallist Hickstead!
·
· Sire of the International jumper Millfield Ultymate – 2009 Joint Champion of the British 4-Year-Old Young Horse Showjumping Championship; 2010 Vice-Champion British 5-Year-Old Young Horse Showjumping Championship; selected to represent Great Britain at the 2010 and 2011 FEI World Breeding Championship for Young Jumping Horses.
Ulysses M2S is a super example of a modern sporthorse: beautifully engineered, highly athletic, and possessing world-class performance genes. He was Licensed by the Anglo European Studbook in March 2005 after competing against thirty-five of Europe’s best 4 and 5 year-olds at the Zwolle International Stallion Show; in November 2005 he was Approved by the Anglo European Studbook after qualifying for the Dutch Championship for Four-Year-Olds, jumping many double-clear rounds at 1.10 metre, and winning the 1.10 meter Stallion Competition at the Euregio Indoor Denekamp Show in the Netherlands on 25 October 2005.
In 2007 Ulysses M2S competed at the CSI** Show at Valkenwaard (Netherlands) in the International Jumping Competition for 6 & 7 Year Old Horses, and had 2 double clear rounds finishing in 9th place. He is now jumping 1.45m tracks with Belgian Junior rider Rossella de Simone.
Ulysses M2S is very high quality and his temperament is outstanding. He has three excellent gaits and his conformation is exceptional. As a showjumper Ulysses has very good technique both in front and behind and he uses his back very well. He descends from outstanding families on both sides of his bloodline.
Ulysses’s sire Ekstein is approved by the KWPN and Irish Horse Board and he was Champion of the Stallion Performance Test and Champion 7-year-old showjumper. Ekstein`s most famous son is the Olympic competitor Joel and his most famous grand-son is Eric Lamaze`s Olympic Gold Medal Winner Hickstead.
Ulysses m2s Progeny
Ulysses M2S is very closely related to the dam of Olympic Gold Medallist Hickstead. Ulysses M2S is by Ekstein out of a Voltaire mare by Le Mexico, and Hickstead’s dam is by Ekstein and directly out of a Le Mexico mare.
Ulysses’s dam Gudrun (by Voltaire) has an outstanding breeding index of 142, and has been recognised by the KWPN as one of their mares by recently awarding her ‘Preferent’ status for producing a Keur mare, a Ster mare, and a Keur Sport-Showjumping mare. She now boasts the title ‘Keur Preferent Prestatie’. Her son President won the 2001 Italy Stallion Performance Test and was approved by UNIRE; he then became 4-Year-Old Belgium Champion, was declared `Elite`, and was approved by the Belgian Sporthorse Studbook. In 2003 Princess Haya purchased President. Gudrun`s Keur daughter Kretienne was KWPN Champion Mare and was ranked as the 19th best mare. Gudrun`s daughter Cruisly (registered name Orashi) jumps internationally and earned the Sport-Showjumping predicate.
Damline
Ahsianita is out of Harnita, a ster Preferent Prestatie KWPN showjumping mare from the Dutch -nita mareline and by the famous Olympic Ahorn, a Preferent stallion representing the famous Holsteiner lineage 242, which is distinguished by producing top international showjumpers.
Ahsianita comes from the highly reputable -Nita damline. The dam of Ahsianita m2s has already produced three international showjumpers. The damline has produced 7 approved stallions and 8 international showjumpers. Harnita (Ahorn x Erdball XX x Marco Polo x Sinaeda) is a successful broodmare that also showjumped early in her career. Among her offspring are Nanita (by Burggraaf), a 1.40 - 1.50 showjumper with Emanuela Marcuzzo of Italy; Marnita-S (by Acord II), a KWPN Keur mare; Top's Omnita R (by Burggraaf), a KWPN Ster mare active in sport in both dressage and showjumping; and Tarnita (by Numero Uno), a Ster mare that won the loose-jumping competition at the KWPN inspections at Den Ham in 2003. In 2003 Harnita had an excellent colt foal by World Cup showjumper Royal Bravour, Ramiro Z's best showjumper except for Ratina Z. This foal is named Wang Chung M2S and is owned by Morningside Stud.
Ahsianita's damsire, Ahorn competed at top International level consistently placed in World Cups and Grand Prix competitions representing the Netherlands in Nations Cup competitions and was short-listed for the Barcelona Olympics, which earned him the prefix 'Olympic'. Ahorn is descended from one of the famous Holstein Families, no. 242 and is related to Joost, Alcatraz and Locarno. Ahorn's offspring continue the success with a number of progeny competing at International level. In recognition of his outstanding contribution to Dutch Breeding, Ahorn, whose progeny have earned over $1,000,000 in prize money, has been awarded keur status by the KWPN.
Ahorn's dam produced 4 approved stallions and so far 3 international showjumpers.
Found in Ahsianita's pedigree on the damsire is Marco Polo, the foundation sire of the modern Dutch Warmblood sporthorse. One of the greatest sires of the Netherlands, famous for his hereditary jumping talent and obliging character. He sired many international show jumpers, approved sons & producing daughters. Marco Polo successful daughters have produced Zadok (by Nimmerdor) and Concorde (by Voltaire). In the USA, Hap Hansen's Dalfsen and Debbie Schaffner's Den Ham were both out of Marco Polo daughters.
