Ulysses m2s Progeny
Ulysses’s sire Ekstein is approved by the KWPN and Irish Horse Board and he was Champion of the Stallion Performance Test and Champion 7-year-old show jumper. Ekstein`s most famous son is the Olympic competitor Joel and his most famous grand-son is Eric Lamaze`s Olympic Gold Medal Winner Hickstead.
Ulysses M2S is very closely related to the dam of Olympic Gold Medallist Hickstead. Ulysses M2S is by Ekstein out of a Voltaire mare by Le Mexico, and Hickstead’s dam is by Ekstein and directly out of a Le Mexico mare.
Ulysses’s dam Gudrun (by Voltaire) has an outstanding breeding index of 142, and has been recognized by the KWPN as one of their mares by recently awarding her ‘Preferent’ status for producing a Keur mare, a Ster mare, and a Keur Sport-Showjumping mare. She now boasts the title ‘Keur Preferent Prestatie’. Her son President won the 2001 Italy Stallion Performance Test and was approved by UNIRE; he then became 4-Year-Old Belgium Champion, was declared `Elite`, and was approved by the Belgian Sporthorse Studbook. In 2003 Princess Haya purchased President. Gudrun`s Keur daughter Kretienne was KWPN Champion Mare and was ranked as the 19th best mare. Gudrun`s daughter Cruisly (registered name Orashi) jumps internationally and earned the Sport-Showjumping predicate.
