Sire Info: KAISER DE LA COUR

Verdi HN-Narcos II-Starter 1998 Selle Francais Stallion

Imported from France, Kaiser de la Cour is by Verdi HN by

Narcos II, while his dam, Ulane de la Cour, is by Kayack. Ulane de la Cour is the dam of Comtesse de la Cour ISO 146, Eveil de la Cour ISO 146 and Kaiser de la Cour which ranked 3rd in the 4-year old championship in Canada where he was exported.

He is currently posting clear rounds in the 1.45m jumper division and preparing to enter the 1.50m ranks in Wellington, FL, under the watchful eye of Olympic Champion Rodrigo Pessoa. Kaiser de le Cour proved his performance ability early on in the Canadian Young Horse Jumper Development Series, winning the $10,000 Five-Year-Old National Championship at Toronto’s Royal Horse Show. His accolades extend beyond the competition ring, however, as he was also named the Grand Champion at the 2003 Canadian Warmblood Horse Breeders Association (CWBHA) Stallion Inspection.

In 2005, Mill Creek Stables again claimed the Grand Champion title at the CWBHA Stallion Inspection, this
time with Kaiser de la Cour’s half-brother, Millesime du Valy, a chestnut selle francais stallion by Verdi by Narcos II out of a Matador Du Bois dam. Born in France in 2000 and imported by Mill Creek Stables as a three-year-old, Millesime du Valy earned scores of 9 for his scope, technique, bascule, rideablity and gallop at the stallion licensing.

Proving the testers right, Millesime du Valy went on to be crowned the National Five-Year-Old Young Jumper Reserve Champion at the 2005 CSI-W National Horse Show in Wellington, FL, an impressive accomplishment for a Canadian horse competing among America’s best.

From the article: Mill Creek's Kaiser de la Cour Attracts Top Bid in Stallion Service Auction

"Indeed, successful buyer Jill Burnell of Gray Fox Farm in Petaluma, California, was thinking of the selle francais stallion when she placed the winning bid, which ties the auction record of $1,800 set in 2005.

"It was his jump that attracted me when I saw Kaiser de la Cour's picture," explained Burnell who breeds exclusively for the hunter market. "I have 11 hunter mares, and I am hoping to get a hunter from Kaiser I have heard from friends in Canada that he has beautiful hunter movement, except that he jumps the moon! I am hoping to get a top class hunter, but at the very least I will get a horse that jumps well. And Kaiser is just as cute as a button with his flaxen mane and tail. I am very excited, and very happy that the Canadian Warmblood offers thisservice."

From Maria Shaub's Blog:
"Some of you might remember the handsome chestnut stallion that I rode at the USEF East Coast Talent Search Finals last October named Kaiser de la Cour. Since then, he has stayed at Hunter’s Moon Farm and is currently owned and ridden by one of the customers. After the horse established residence with us, he was gelded and I have had the continued opportunity to work with him on the ground and with flatting, schooling and training him. Knowing the WCHR Hunter Spectacular week ( week 6 of the circuit) was approaching, I broached the subject of showing him in the Regular Working Hunter division with my boss and trainer, Frank Madden. The idea was generated from my experience riding and handling him since late August 2008. Although Kaiser had done the Grand Prix level prior to being at the barn, he possessed many of the characteristics of a great hunter. The talented gelding is agile, moves smoothly and is very good looking! I thought that with his natural affinities for the division, it might be worth a try. Frank thought the idea was sound and the owners were happy for him to get the experience.

With the concerted effort of all involved, I can say that the horse took to the task very well and he placed in all of the classes. He was such a good boy! Of course, knowing the horse and riding him for over five months was an advantage. I especially loved showing in the International Ring with so many of the seasoned professionals! I would like to thank the owners, my trainer and everyone who helped to make the experience rewarding and fun.

It was great showing these past few weeks and, in some ways, was reminiscent of my junior catch rider days. Of course, the challenging quest to secure a ride that will allow me to compete in the open jumper division continues."

Damline Info:

Kaiserin is out of Lassandra a Lantaan (Lord x Liguster x Farnese) mare who competed up to Level M jumping in Germany. Lantaan has made a name for himself in Holstein mainly through his outstanding daughters. Adlatus As, a Hanoverian out of a Lantaan-dam, represented his breed at the 2002 World Championships in Show Jumping. The excellent Quality is just as well out of a Lantaan-dam as the dressage stallion Carpaccio or the internationally successful AK Caridor Z/Jos Lansink. Lantaan is a member of the Holsteiner family 504, which also produced the stallions Clintino, Cézaro, Literat (stallion performance test winner), Le Matin and Umberto.

The versatile hereditary transmitter Lantaan, who landed an approval winner with Lucky Lionell and frequently exerts a strong influence via good quality mares, as is the case with Landor's champion stallion Lovis Corinth.

The most significant representative of the Achill line since 1960, Farnese was a large-framed, impressive stud stallion. He had a nice head, strong neck, good shoulders, and back with strong muscular hind quarters. Good legs with large hooves. He had an excellent ground covering trot and a good canter with good rideability and character.

Wernica herself competed upto level M in Germany and is out of the Hanoverian mareline of Felsenblüte (No. 2193602), bred by Wernke, Tobringen (Dannenberg in the Lüneburg area) in 1936.

It is a smaller line with no stallions listed, but a number of successful show jumpers, i.e. Walk on Top by Westgote with lifetime earnings of over 30.000 Euros

Grand Ferdinand II by Grande - Ferdinand - Marcio xx, owned by the Celle State Stud, finished his stallion performance test in 1981 at Adelheidsdorf with an overall index of 116,250 (8th out of 33). He produced many successful jumpers.
